Terms of Use

1 Acceptance

By creating an account, placing a bid, purchasing Booking Units, or otherwise using BidBanta, you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the platform.

BidBanta is operated by the team behind CUBE/DettyVerse. These terms apply to the BidBanta product specifically, alongside any terms that already govern your CUBE/DettyVerse account.

2 Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use BidBanta. Accounts belonging to, or created on behalf of, anyone under 18 will be suspended.

BidBanta is built primarily for users in Nigeria, but is not exclusive to Nigeria — users in other supported regions can participate where cash listings support their local currency display (USD, ZAR, GHS, KES, TZS).

3 Accounts and shared identity

Your BidBanta account is the same account you use on CUBE/DettyVerse — one login, one wallet. Your STRZ and Cash balances are shared across both products.

You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. Activity on your account is treated as activity you authorized, unless you've reported unauthorized access to us.

4 The platform economy

STRZ (stars) are earned through engagement on the CUBE/DettyVerse ecosystem — they cannot be purchased with money, and they hold no cash value outside the platform. STRZ are a rewards currency, not a financial instrument, security, or store of value.

Cash listings are priced and settled in Nigerian Naira (with multi-currency display for convenience). Cash payments are processed through separate, third-party payment rails — not through BidBanta directly.

You cannot convert STRZ to Cash, or Cash to STRZ, and you cannot transfer either currency to another user.

5 Auctions

Live auctions are competitive bidding on exclusive items, experiences, and access passes. Auctions run as single-winner or multi-winner (top-N) formats, clearly indicated on each listing.

• Escrow: the moment you place a bid, the bid amount is reserved from your balance. It's held, not spent.
• Outbid refunds: if you're outbid, your reserved balance is released back to you instantly.
• Winning: only the final winner(s) actually pay — the reserved amount is deducted at the close of the auction.
• Finality: a winning bid is final. Wins are not cancellable except through the admin fulfilment review process described in Section 6.

6 Booking Units

Booking Units are a fixed-price purchase model — you buy a quantity of units at a set price per unit for events, experiences, or access products (concert passes, meet-and-greet slots, VIP packages, product drops, and similar).

Booking Units represent participation rights and access entitlements — they are not ownership of a physical good until fulfilment is confirmed by an admin.

• Resale: where enabled, units can be resold back to the platform at a resale price set by BidBanta. You cannot set your own resale price, and resale is not guaranteed to be available on every listing.
• Redemption: units can be redeemed physically or digitally, depending on the listing. Redemption requests are subject to admin approval and availability.
• Finality: unit purchases are final unless declined during admin fulfilment review.

7 Prohibited conduct

You agree not to:

• Use bots, scripts, or automated tools to place bids or purchase units
• Create multiple accounts to gain an unfair bidding advantage
• Attempt to buy, sell, or transfer STRZ, Cash, or Booking Units outside the platform
• Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to manipulate auction outcomes
• Use the platform for any unlawful purpose

Violating these rules may result in bid cancellation, balance forfeiture, or account suspension at BidBanta's discretion.

8 Platform operator rights

All listings on BidBanta — auctions and Booking Units alike — are created by BidBanta's operating team. There is no peer-to-peer selling between users.

BidBanta reserves the right to remove or edit listings, adjust pricing, suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, and cancel auctions or bookings in cases of technical error, fraud, or suspected abuse.

9 Limitation of liability

BidBanta is provided "as is." We work to keep auctions, listings, and fulfilment running smoothly, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted access, and we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the platform, to the fullest extent permitted by Nigerian law.

10 Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Nigerian courts.

11 Changes to terms

We may update these terms from time to time as the platform evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continuing to use BidBanta after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
